Collectively, our leadership team of Element has well
over 100 years' experience in real estate and master
planned community development, with specialization in
hospitality management, and retirement community
development and operations. Element exists to remove the stigma and burden that come
with aging and evolving health. Instead of an average entry
age of 87+, as is the standard across the retirement
industry, the late 50s is the average resident age at our
Vancouver west side flagship, OPAL by element.
As an innovative and visionary community builder and
service provider, our mission is to revolutionize the
perception and experience of aging – not just for seniors
but across all generations of society. In Element communities, seniors are no longer isolated
and categorized by age and need, just to receive adaptive
support and care as their health evolves. With all
generations living under the same roof, and extensive
activity programming engaging all ages, the adult generation
can lessen the stress posed between their career, dependent
school age children, and their elderly parents.
In 2015, our intergenerational aging-in-place model won
us an international award over 950 projects assessed
worldwide. Nationally we are regarded as a leader in the
industry, forging the way to a future of age-friendly
communities to meet the demands of the oncoming
tsunami of an aging population over the next decades.
We will grow through a portfolio of fully or partially owned
assets, long term contracts of 20+ years for development
and operations management, as well as acquisitions of
existing operations.
