Fabric Painting y Trace cartoon figures and other geometrical figures on table cloth and table mats. y Paint table cloth and table mats using two or three colours y Learn the technique of shading using different frames y Understand the concept of colour wheel – Primary, secondary, tertiary colours 2. Block Printing • Using wooden blocks and ready to use colours, print a set of six handkerchiefs (single colour) y Print a dutches set using wooden blocks (with border design and central motifs). y Make own cut design stencil and spray colour on the cut area. Class VIII 1. Fabric Painting y Trace different figures/designs using butter paper and blue / used dry cell and mineral oil. y Paint 2 pillow covers, music system cover. y Learn how to mix-match colours and prepare new colours with colour schemes. 2. Block Printing – Using wooden blocks and ready to use colours, print a TV cover/Table cloth in 2 to 3 colours. Make a border on the cloth with blocks. 3. Tie and dye – Understand the different techniques of tieing the fabric like folding, bandhani, marbelling, knotting, laheria, tritik etc. y Understand how to prepare the dye. y Tie and dye cotton handkerchiefs in single colour. y Fix the colour so that it becomes permanent. 54
