Branch Co-ordinator…
Dear members
Welcome to our new look e-newsletter.
We decided it was time for a change and so this Spring we have
made a fresh start. We still plan to produce a couple of newsletters
in a printed format as some members suggested they would prefer
that format. We are very keen for your feedback on the new format,
and to hear ideas and suggestions for improvements, so please do
email [email protected]!
Your local branch has seen some changes this year, too. I am taking over as Interim Branch Co-ordinator following Sally Stevenson‘s
decision to step down and focus on her family. Her enthusiastic
support for the branch has been very much appreciated and she will
be missed by the committee.
We recently held a volunteer event and are pleased to welcome
some new volunteers to the committee who will be formally appointed at our AGM later this year, including our new Branch Newsletter Editor, Lizzie Hutton who has done a great job in producing
this newsletter, ably assisted by Helen Mackinnon who is moving
into the role of Advertising Co-ordinator.
We have our next Cheeky Monkeys Tea Party coming up on 19th
April after the success of our event last October. It is a great excuse to eat cake (not that we should need one!) as well as having
lots of activities to entertain the kids. There will be free demonstrations from local businesses, a raffle with some fantastic prizes, stall
holders and a bouncy castle, as well as the opportunity for you to
have some pamper treatments (it‘s not all about the kids!)
