I am the new K-12 Principal for Litchfield this year. I grew up in a small community in Southwestern Nebraska, called Palisade. I have been in education for the past 27-years. I student taught in Wood River and graduated from Kearney State College before it became a University. I taught Vocational Business and coached football, basketball and golf nine years in Lawrence, Nebraska and Wauneta-Palisade. I got my first Master’s degree at Chadron State College in school counseling. I have been a school counselor and held various coaching position for the past 18-years at the following schools in Nebraska: Ashland-Greenwood, Plainview, Battle Creek for nine-years, and the past six-years at Wilber-Clatonia schools. I have recently finished my specialist degree through Wayne State College. My wife Lynette and youngest son Calvin will be living in Litchfield. Lynette will be teaching Business in Broken Bow and Calvin will be a 7th grader here at Litchfield. We have three other children that are older. Adam is an insurance manager for Pacific Life in Omaha. He is the father of our only grandchild, Jax, who is 3. Samantha is a nurse at Bryan LGH in Lincoln in the pediatric unit. Erin just graduated from high school this spring and will be attending UNK this fall majoring in Speech Pathology and Audiology. Activities & Events Calendar Some of the improvements this summer in the school district include a new basketball floor which is nearly complete. The gym will also be getting a new bleachers scheduled for installation in mid-September. We have added more space to our playground area and a new and expanded cement area on which students may play. A new sprinkler system was added in the front of the high school and Blue Building and we will be adding some nice landscaping additions to the front of our high school. At the football field will be adding bleachers to both the home and visitor sides of the field.
