Recipes in Honor of November (Thanksgiving Themed) By: Justine Pickar Slow Cooker Cranberry Turkey Breast Ingredients: 1 (16 ounce) can cranberry sauce 1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix ½ cup orange juice 1 (3lb) boneless turkey breast Directions: (photo courtesy of allrecipes.com user uploads) 1. Place cranberry sauce in a bowl, and mash. Mix in the onion soup mix and orange juice together until the mixture is well combined 2. Spray the inside of a slow cooker with cooking spray, place turkey breast into the cooker. Pour cranberry mixture over the turkey breast. Set the cooker on Low, cook until tender (about 7 hours). Rainbow Pasta Salad II Ingredients: 1 (16 ounce) package tri-color pasta assortment 2 Large tomatoes, diced 1 Large cucumber, peeled and diced 1 red onion, finely chopped 1 (16 ounce) bottled Italian-style salad dressing Directions: 1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil, add pasta and cook 8-10 minutes, until al dente, drain and rinse in cold water 2. In a large bowl, combine tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, cooked pasta, and Italian dressing. 3. Refrigerate overnight (or at least 1 hour), serve “I am thankful for every day I get to spend with my friends and family.
