SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT CONTINUED…
Request to Change January Board Meeting Date
My family and I need to be in California on Sunday, January 17, for a family wedding and I will have a difficult time
returning in time for the Monday school board meeting. After talking with Todd about changing the date of the
meeting, we are recommending that the January meeting be changed to Wednesday, January 20, if there are no
objections by the board.
Recommendation: I recommend moving the January board meeting to January 20 at 7:30 PM.
School Board State Conference
The Nebraska State School Board Conference is being held on November 19 and 20th this year in Omaha. This year
the new accountability system for K-12 schools, AQUEST, will be a featured topic for several of the presentations.
Tentative Agenda:
Wednesday November 18
Travel to Omaha, check in the hotel, and meet for supper at 7:00 PM
Thursday November 19
8:00 AM
Conference Begins with 1st General Session
Noon
Meet at noon and eat lunch together at general session
7:00 PM
Meet and eat supper together at local restaurant
Friday November 20
8:00 AM
Delegate Assembly for School Board Association
Select Sessions during the morning
9:00 AM
NCSA meeting for school superintendent’s
Noon
Return to Litchfield
Board members are encouraged to attend any or all of the conference meetings. We will work on transportation to and
from the conference, depending on whom and how many are attending. All board member mileage and expenses for
the conference will be reimbursed by the district. At the meeting Monday night our office would appreciate board
members letting me know if they will be attending in order to secure registration and rooms in a timely manner.
