New Teacher News By: Rachel Snow Mrs. Nikia Hunt wears many hats…literally. She teaches 7th and 8th grade English, Accounting, Information Technology, Journalism/Newsletter, and Web Design and Development. She is also the FBLA, 7 th grade, and newsletter sponsor. Mrs. Hunt earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Kaplan University in 2011. She then received a Bachelor’s of Science Secondary Education with an emphasis in English from Grand Canyon University in 2015. She holds an endorsement in 7-12 English and she is working on a Business Endorsement. When asked why she chose Litchfield she replied, “My dad lived here when I was younger and I knew that it was just a wonderful community.” Her experience at Litchfield has been “fun… busy, but fun.” Her favorite thing about teaching in Litchfield is the students. She has apparently caught on to the fact that I need to know favorite colors, because halfway through the interview she shouted out “PURPLE!!” Let’s continue to make Mrs. Hunt feel welcome, because having someone in the faculty who regularly wears six hats is pretty awesome!
