Hearings Pages 3,4,5,6 Now , as required by statute , there are three annual hearings that the district needs to have in accordance with Nebraska State Law . They include a hearing in regard to the Wellness Policy , Bullying Policy , and Parent Involvement policy . The district will hold those hearings at 7:30 PM before the beginning of the meeting . I will ask the public if there are comments in regard to the policies . At the end of public comment , if there are no recommended changes for the policies , I will close the hearing and begin the regular meeting .
Presentations by NASB and NRCSA At the beginning of the meeting representatives from the Nebraska School Board Association and the Nebraska Rural Schools Association will be presenting their superintendent search programs to the board of education . They will do this during public discussions and the NASB will present first with NRCSA to follow .
Technology Report Brian and Jeralynn Moser are going to be at the board meeting to give a technology report . They will share how our new computers are improving learning and teaching in the school district . This report will follow the presentations by the NASB and NRCSA .
Policies Approval 2 nd Reading ( updated policies below are in your packet ) Board members are asked to bring their policy manuals to the meeting on Monday night . Board members have received policies previous meetings from the School Board Association . New and / or changed policies include : 201.05 , 204.01 , 402.11 , 402.16 , 402.17 , 502.02 , 503.09 , 504.14 , 508.12 , 603.01 , 606.08 , 610.01 , 611.01 , 704.04E-1 . Please note that policy 204.01 has been changed to reflect the board ’ s current meeting time . Current language and policies are included in the packet to put in your board policy book . Motion : I recommend 2 nd reading approval of the policies 201.05 , 204.01 , 402.11 , 402.16 , 402.17 , 502.02 , 503.09 , 504.14 , 508.12 , 603.01 , 606.08 , 610.01 , 611.01 , 704.04E-1 .
Work Release Program ( 7-17 ) The administrative team and counseling center would like to recommend a program for students who have the opportunity to work in the community during the school day . Helping students to understand the value of working with others in a work place setting is a valuable learning experience . Mr . Finley will talk about this program and course credit associated with the program at the meeting Monday night . Motion : I recommend that the Litchfield School District put in place the work in community program as presented .
