Name Your Car Day (October 2nd) By: Justine Pickar While researching what happens in October besides Halloween, I came across a fun one- Name Your Car Day. So I asked five people at our school, including myself, some questions about naming their cars. TAGERT OSBORNE What do you think about naming your car? “I think it’s fun” Do you have a name for your car? “Kinda” What is it? What inspired you to name it that? “The Lightning Horse; It was storming and lightning when I got my car. Bum Bum Bum Bum.” TYREN HOWARD What do you think about naming your car? “I think it’s weird.” Do you have a name for your car? “Nope.” What would it be? What inspired you to name it that? “White Lightning; “Tagert named it for me.” BLAINE GOODNER What do you think about naming your car? “It’s cool.” Do you have a name for your car? “Yes.” What is it? What inspired you to name it that? “The BEAST Machine; Because it’s the sexiest pickup out there.” Page HAMILTON SCHROCK What do you think about naming your car? “I think naming your car is a way to show sentimental value, or a way to let people know that you care about the object.” Do you have a name for your car? “Yes, I do.” What is it? What inspired you to name it that? “Luci; Well, I ran over when she was sleeping in my parking spot and her name was Luci. What inspired you to name it that? “The Mean Bean Speed Machine; Tyren gave me that idea because everyone nicknamed me ‘bean’.”
