His death marked the rise of a tradition in order to honor him, this tradition is now known as St. Patrick’s Day.  St. Patrick’s Day has very popular symbols which are shamrocks, and little men called Leprechauns.  Shamrocks are also the flower of Ireland  Legends say that each leaf of the Clover/Shamrock has a meaning: Hope, Faith, Love, and LUCK  The Color of St. Patrick’s Day used to be blue instead of green  A tradition of St Patrick’s Day is to wear green if not, then you get a pinch.  The first St. Patrick’s Day celebration in the US was held in Boston in 1737  Odds of actually getting a four leaf clover: 1 in 10,000  To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Chicago, the river is dyed green for a few hours
