MOBILE STEM LAB COMES TO LITCHFIELD By: Siarah Willenberg Litchfield Public School had the STEM lab from the Custer Public Power District came to the school for kids to experiment hands on with technology. The lab shows kids that they do not have to go to a four-year college and that there are more options. The STEM lab has to do with hands on experiencing, utilizing, figuring-it- out kind of thinking. This is also an educational model for the students that get to have the STEM lab come to their school. They have virtual reality, wood carving, 3D printing, home security and network, and many more student-led projects. When I was experiencing the stem lab my favorite part was the virtual reality. It was so cool to actually feel like you were there in whatever game you had chosen. Overall, the STEM lab was a success, we are grateful that we had the opportunity to experience it, and we hope it comes back soon! LITCHFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOLS WOULD LIKE TO SEND OUT A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THOSE IN THE COMMUNITY WHO DONATED TO THE WINTER CLOTHING DRIVE, THE FOOD PANTRY, AND/OR THE GIVING TREE PROJECT. IT IS HEARTWARMING TO KNOW SO MANY CARE! THE MOST REWARDING FEELING IS HELPING OTHERS! 2
