January 2020 Counselor Corner Confidence in the new year!! Being Mindful! ● In a busy life, I am grateful for those times when I can slow down. I turn off the radio and put my technology away. I sit quietly, with or without a book, and become engaged with my surroundings. The rumble of a truck passing by. The spring smell of grass. A lampshade’s soft glow. I am quiet, and my heart is full.. Gratitude Mindful Mondays Mrs. Poland, Mrs. Slocum, and Mrs. Moser have begun a Mindful Monday group for students grades 7-12. We meet every Monday during the last part of lunch and practice mindfulness which includes but not limited to meditation, journal reflection, and goal set- ting. We are excited about this new adventure we are taking with our students. ACT Test Dates January 10. 2020 is the deadline for the February 8th National ACT test. Go to www.act.org to register.
