FBLA NEWS & ACTIVITIES FBLA has been hard at work planning upcoming activities for February and gearing up for State Leadership Conference in April! This February, we will be offering Cuties (mini-oranges) and Crush (cans of orange soda) with cards for Valentine’s Day again this year. You can send a Cutie ($1.00) or Crush ($2.00) to anyone in the school by getting ahold of an FBLA officer, picking up a card in the office, or contacting our adviser, Mrs. Nikia Hunt. February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month! To help spread the word about CTE, we hope you’ll join us in Tweeting your career and how CTE or your Career & Technical Student Organization (CTSO) such as FBLA, FFA, or DECA helped you to achieve your goals! Tweet @litchfieldfbla with your story! Additionally, February 4-10 th is FBLA WEEK! We are excited to be hosting the following events/spirit days at LPS in celebration of our favorite CTSO: Sunday 2/4 Share your story about FBLA/PBL online Monday 2/5 FBLA Spirit Day! Wear your FBLA/PBL attire! Tuesday 2/6 Teacher Appreciation Day! FBLA members will be providing breakfast to LPS teachers Wednesday 2/7 Student Appreciation Day! FBLA members will be providing a thank you to our student body for their continued support of our organization Thursday 2/8 Fight to Finish! Students will complete BAAs/CSAs during 8 th & Access in Mrs. Hunt’s room Friday 2/9 Business Attire Day & Business Tour! FBLA members will wear their business-best on a tour of a local restaurant, The Litchfield Steakhouse Saturday 2/10 Community Service Day! FBLA members will get out there in the community and make a difference In addition to our CTE Month and FBLA Week events, Friday, February 16 th will be Job Shadow Day- FBLA members will gain exposure to careers by shadowing in a career field of their choice and interest. 12
