Local Student’s Artwork Chosen
for Nebraska State School Board
Conference Art Show
Katherine Paitz and Kaylee Rohde will have their art on
display during Nebraska’s State School Board Conference
in LaVista for both administrators and school board
members to admire. The students work was selected to
embody quality and exceptional creativity in Nebraska
Schools.
Kaylee Rohde is the daughter of Phil and Karla Rohde.
Her work is titled “Being Different” and is a linoleum
print. Her artwork consists of a beautifully colored ant.
She states that the meaning of her work is “Ants are
always black or brown, always being what people
expect can be boring, it’s nice to be colorful”.
Katherine Paitz daughter of Scott and Heather Paitz
created a mixed media work using recycled magazine to
create a very unique coffee cup she calls “Morning Brew”.
She says this about her work: “ Different subject
matter, compositions and colors make different
people happy. I made this using recycled magazines in
colors and prints that I enjoy and yes, I do enjoy my
morning coffee.”
We are excited to be represented at the art show by these
two wonderful artists.
