As it begins to cool down. November 2nd was a busy day for the Litchfield High School freshmen class. They attended a Connect the Dots workshop in Broken Bow put on by the UNL Extension office. It was a day filled with information about job duties, education requirements, and how students can prepare now for future success. Students participated in simulation activities that gave them role plays in many different situations. Partners had to figure out what pathway to take to get to the desired goal. The also participated in networking sessions and a work readiness skill building session that included looking at resumes and interview questions. Derik Linden commented that the workshop had good information and was pretty fun.

Food Pantry / Food Bank information: Our school food bank is currently receiving prepackaged food from the Heartland Food bank. It regularly serves 8 students in our school on a weekly basis. Our need is larger than what is allowed so we are running food drives to stock up to help those families that need a little help to stretch their dollars. Any donations to the food pantry is appreciated. We are also accepting financial donations to help provide our families perishables from P & D Market such as milk, bread, eggs, and fruit.
