Superintendent’ s Report NOVEMBER 2017
Superintendent’ s Report NOVEMBER 2017
Pre-K Numbers Mrs. Pierce will be here to discuss this year’ s Pre-K and the next couple of year’ s numbers. The numbers could mean that we have to make some adjustments to rooms and staffing.
Budget Adjustments State auditors found some numbers in the budget that weren’ t correct. It had to do with the Qualified Capital Purpose Undertaking Fund. I’ ve included the budget forms( past and corrected forms). Dr. Maline and I went over it and found that we had too much on the Principal and Interest on Bonds. This changes the final number of“ Total Personal and Real Property Tax Requirement for ALL Other” on the Budget Hearing and Budget Summary Sheet. This number is now $ 2,268,378.97 compared to the incorrect number of $ 2,203,664.63. This is $ 64,714.34 more. This does not affect levy asking so we do not need to amend the budget. I’ ve sent the corrected papers to the State Auditor, NDE, and County Clerks. They said all we would need to do is make a motion to approve corrected figures in the 2017-2018 budget. The levy asking remained the same.
