Six Litchfield Art Students WIN $6000 in a National Competition. By Allison Varah, Litchfield School K-12 Art Teacher In a national competition put on by First National Bank of Omaha and Nebraska State Treasurer Don Stenberg, 12 winners are chosen for a calendar. Each of the twelve receives a $1000 scholarship! Recently Litchfield art teacher Allison Varah received notification that 6 of the 12 winners in the National competition are from Litchfield. The Draw Your Dreams Scholarship Competition asks students to think about what they want to be when they grow up and draw it! Students from Litchfield want to be woodworkers, bakers, business owners, popstars and artists! Students who won range from 1st to 7th grade including Addie Boyles -1st, Caydence Feldman - 4th, Gracie Reitz - 4th, Gracie Ritchie - 4th, Katherine Paitz - 7th, Kaylee Rohde - 7th All students and parents will be taking a picture of their award-winning artwork on Wednesday July,11th at 12:30. At that time parents will sign release forms and students will have a picture taken with their winning work. Below is a picture of the award winners with art teacher Allison Varah.
