BOYS BASKETBALL
by: Nam Boonphakdee
Despite not qualifying for State,
the Spartan boys did manage to
make a run in Sub-districts, mak-
ing it all the way to sub-district fi-
nals. The boys’
basketball coach,
Troy
Schirmer,
has
done
an
amazing job at
guiding the boys
this season, win-
ning half of the
non-conference
games that they
played,
ending
the season by
losing at the Sub-
district finals against Elm Creek
with a score of 68-57.
For the run at a chance at State
Qualifier, the Ansley-Litchfield
Spartans started off by winning
against the Pleasanton Bulldogs in
the first round of sub-districts 61-
39. The boys then continued their
streak with a follow-up win against
the Overton Eagles 72-68 in the
next round, before succumbing to
the Elm Creek Buffaloes at the fi-
nals.■
