Principal’s Report OCTOBER 2016
We had a teachers in-service on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. We introduced our student testing
accountability chart. This is a chart that will be kept in an individual folder and we will be having students
keep track of the NeSA & MAPS test scores. We will then store them in the counselor’s office. Hoping to
be have students keep their progress and have more of an idea of the purpose of their testing. We then had
teachers start the evaluation of the testing and identify our strengths and weaknesses. This will be helpful to
coming up with our School Improvement goals for the coming 5-years.
We also had staff members do a safety walk around the building and grounds to point out any concerns. Dr.
Maline and I reviewed the list and are bringing the checklist to the head custodian to be taken care of.
100 year celebration is a success. With the leadership of Mrs. Varah, we had a 100-year celebration of the
Litchfield School building on October 6th. We had all elementary students and some middle-school students
help with the preparation. Mrs. Varah contacted past teachers and administrators and they talked of their
time spent at Litchfield Schools.
Blended Learning and ALP learning walks. Peg Coover from ESU 10 was here last week to do learning
walks and blended learning observations. She was very impressed and wrote a very complimentary email of
our staff and the collaboration among our staff. I attached the email.
