SELLING TO THE GOVERNMENT / PROCUREMENT
The U. S. local, state and federal government buys nearly $ 100 billion worth of goods and services from small businesses each year. Selling to the government demands a completely different go-to-market approach than the commercial sector. The Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington Metroplex alone has thirteen counties and six public universities that will purchase from small businesses. In order to become a vendor, businesses will need to research and register before selling to local government entities including UT-Arlington, Tarrant County College, and the City of Arlington to name a few.
