SMA mission
The mission of the Saskatchewan Medical Association is to advance the educational, professional and economic
welfare of Saskatchewan physicians;
to advance the honour and integrity of
the profession; and to promote quality health care practices, quality health
services, and to advocate for a quality
health care system for Saskatchewan.
When Dr. Jolene Titus of Meadow Lake was diagnosed with
an untreatable form of adenocarcinoma, her final wish
was to fly home to South Africa with her husband and two
young children to be surrounded by their family during the
difficult time ahead. Read the remarkable story of how the
support of colleagues, friends and strangers helped Dr. Titus’ wish come true.
Although the Saskatchewan EMR Program began later than
its equivalents in other provinces, it has made tremendous
strides and is delivering on its objectives. Learn how you, as
a Saskatchewan physician, can use an EMR to enhance your
clinic efficiencies.
As the province moves forward with developing a 10-year
Physician Resource Plan, physician involvement will be critical to ensuring the plan responds to key issues.
