I was supported by a strong executive board as well as the membership.” As he transitions to his role as past-Chair of the Section, Dr. Ibrahim, who has been actively involved in the SMA for several decades including serving as SMA President, has advice for young physicians. “My advice to new practising family physicians is to remain or become involved in local and provincial matters as it will determine your professional life.
