Do’s and Don’ts for Voicing your on Social Media By Leslie Collymore It’s 2020 and over the last 5 years I’ve seen a sharp increase in social commentary online. Everyone has opinions on everything and truly believes that the world needs to hear about it. Formerly taboo topics such as religion, race relations, sexuality and politics are now front and center and many individuals provide some insightful but mostly spectacularly shocking points of view. Saint Lucia is no different. With approximately 120% mobile penetration rate, 88% internet penetration or access to data, 100,000 Facebook users (roughly 56% of the population) and steady growth in other platforms, there exists more social media opportunities now for Saint Lucians to share everything from their favorite quotes to their personal opinions, especially about politics. Now here comes my disclaimer: I am not a political operative
