This year’s Prestige Awards, now in
its twelfth year, was held under the
theme, “Boundless Possibilities”.
Anderson said the theme was
apt as it dovetails with the resort
chain’s mantra of exceeding
expectations even in the midst of
doubt.
“Sandals Resorts International is
an organization that believes in
constant innovation and creation
and looking at where we can
take the service and the physical
aspect of the resort to the next
level,” he said. “So it was no
surprise that this year’s theme
was ‘Boundless Possibilities’.”
As the Sandals chain faces
stronger competition in the
Caribbean, Anderson said the
organization also sees the world
becoming smaller. He cited the
United Kingdom leaving the
European Union via Brexit, an
election year in the U.S., and the
growing threat of Coronavirus as
examples from which to learn.
“One can look at these factors
in two ways: we can either say
there are limitations or choose
to rise above these challenges to
create boundless possibilities,”
Anderson stated. “That’s why the
key message for the night was
32 SL-YOU | It’s All About Business
that despite all the things that are
happening in the world today, we
cannot and should not stand still
and that the opportunities are
boundless.”
Anderson said customers are
looking for a unique experience
that separates Saint Lucia from
everybody else’s. Thus having
the right team members makes
a difference in delivering that
experience. Equally important, he
added, is rewarding those who
raise the bar.
