Fashion for me is
Second-Nature!
"I never really try to put looks
together, I just do. I don't know
how I do it, I just do"
i
t all started when I was a littke girl. My dad used to get dressed up
so nice, no matter the occasion. It can be a simple visit to his mom's
house or major event like a gala, he was going to be dressed up re-
gardless of the occasion. As a child, I was extremely timid and didn't
have many friends. I believe that I was too shy. However, that led
me to be more of a loner. My mom used to subscribe to J. C. Penney
catalogs and one will be mailed out each season. I used to get so
excited when a new catalog would come in the mail. I know you're wondering
why, but there is a reason! The catalog had to be about 200+ pages long, which
was exciting because that was more time I got to spend in it. First thing I'd do
is go to the women's and junior's section of the catalog. I would stare at a page
for about ten minutes and repeat this daily. A typical person would think I'm just
staring at a picture but a creative person would understand that I was looking
beyond that picture. I was creating fashion in my mind. I was imagining myself as
the model with the same outfit on and pretending that I was out in Hollywood
with people that was stopping and staring at me. Yes, my mind goes beyond the
norm. I would always say that one day I would be fashionable like this! The style
was hereditary. I never really try to put looks together, I just do. I don't know how
I do it, I just do. It comes effortlessly!
