STYLE W ho is Lola Bee? LB: Lola Bee is my alter ego, you know as wom- an we have many roles. For myself, Brittany is always a mother first, she’s also a grad student, and educator. However,Lola Bee role is entrepre- neurship! She’s one BOMB ASS BAWSE! SLUT: What is the inspiration behind your name? LB: I was looking for a name that resonated with me, who I am, what I represent and was catchy for customers to remember. SLUT: Why did you decide to choose fashion as your career? LB: I’ve always been the woman that like to shop for unique pieces. However, it became difficult to find unique standout pieces because bou- tiques now all have the same exact items. So, I decided to stand true to my vision and offer unique, quality pieces that stand out in fashion. November 2019 SLUT: What is your favorite part of being a fash- ion boutique owner? LB: My favorite part is making my customers look and feel good! SLUT: The designs you choose are awesome, but who and which things were your inspiration while choosing certain designs? LB: The designs I choose are ones that what I call statement pieces! I choose these pieces because not everyone has them and my clients who crave that uniqueness will be a sight to see when wearing their pieces. SLUT: What is your definition of fashion? Embrac- ing your true self! LB: Meaning it’s not about a brand name, or how much you spent it’s about having confidence and not only look good but that you are feeling good. SLUT: What skills according to you are necessary for someone that works in the fashion industry? LB: Having a positive attitude, and your custom- er service skills should be superior!
