Visit of MKBU to PDPU

School of Liberal Studies invited Post-Graduate department of English of Maharaja Krishna Kumar Bhavnagar University- MKBU as part of its outreach initiatives. More th th than 50 students, 3 faculties and 4 of�ce personnel visited PDPU campus on 6 and 7 March, 2017. There were a series of academic session, co-curricular activities and faculty interaction in these two days.
The academic sessions included panel discussion on Interdisciplinary Approaches to Education, Feminism and Gender Studies and Globalization and its impact. Dr. Ranjana Harish was invited to deliver a lecture on feminism and feminist literature for the students of Bhavnagar University.
There was also a cultural programme in which students of SLS and MKBU performed dance, mono-acting and singing. A special sports activity was organized at the sports complex of PDPU for the students and faculties of both the universities wherein everyone participated with enthusiasm. The students of MKBU also had the experiential �avour of what type of creative and hands-on courses the students of Liberal Arts practice. They were taught to prepare mugs with designer stickers and each student carried a mug as a memento from PDPU. There was also a session of faculty interaction wherein the faculties of both the universities exchange their best practices and research areas and endeavours.
Dr. Nigam Dave the Director and Dean of SLS took the initiative of this outreach activity and coordinated also. Dr. Pradeep Malik, Dr. Ashwin Dave, Dr. Sitakanta Mishra, Dr. Chaitnaya Vyas, Dr. Sanjay Pradhan, Dr. Harmik Vaishnav, Dr. Urmi Satyen, Ms. Niyati Trivedi, Ms. Neeta Khurana were the experts in various panel discussions. Mr. Phalgunkumar, Ms. Hetal Vasani and Ms. Khushali Purohit facilitated all the activities and arrangement were PDPU facilitated the guest students and faculties and staff of MKBU by providing boarding and lodging. The activity was highly appreciated by the management of PDPU as �rst of its kind and also by the students and management of MKBU.
