BOOK FAIR BY SLS LIBRARY
The Third SLS Book Fair was organized by SLS Library at 2nd Floor D – Block School of Liberal Studies, from 23th to 24th January, 2017. In the fair well known Book publishers and vendors were invited from different parts of Gujarat such as like Books India, Astha Book Agency, Kushal Books, Ashok P Mandir, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press Publishers, Taylor & Francis Group etc.
In this book fair more than 5000 books were exhibited from various publishers.
The book fair was inaugurated by Director of School of Liberal Studies Dr. Nigam Dave in presence of SLS Library Committee members Dr. D Sriram & Dr. Anurag Srivastava. More than 500 students availed this opportunity to have an overview and brief introduction about the books on various subjects and disciplines. The Book fair helped the students and faculties to know about the recent book titles, contents and coverage of books on a variety of subjects, themes pertaining to disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas. SLS faculties took keen interest in exploring the new titles for recommending to the SLS library. In this book fair more than 750 books were selected and recommended by faculty members.
Dr. T K Reddy Sir- Director General PDPU visited the fair and keenly observed the displayed titles in various subject and domain speci�c areas. He also suggested for the inclusion of more subject curricula based e-learning resources.
