Spring Summer 2017
There are many things the modern
man looks for in an outfit. Not just
comfort and practicality, but eyecatching style, progressive design,
durability of manufacture, and a sense
of superiority over our peers and our
many emotional daemons. Heavens,
we are a demanding breed! I can say,
however, with some degree of
certainty, that I have never met any
man who has expressed to me his
desire to have the words “Right Now!”
emblazoned across the back of his
underpants.

Collections: Men. “One of China’s
foremost menswear designers and
fashion visionaries”, according at least
to the programme (Press release?
Menu?) I was handed on the way in,
I felt sure Zhou’s new collection for
Spring/Summer ’17 would reveal new
and exciting worlds to me. Printed on
heavy and pleasantly fragrant pink
paper, this document listed words and
phrases under the title of the show
“Grown-ups”. A lexical mood-board,
