Adelaide, who won the weight-for-age championship as a northern
hemisphere bred three-year-old, defeating the best that Australasia
had to offer. Also the winner of America’s Group 1 Arlington Park
Secretariat Stakes, Adelaide was a winner on four occasions – three
times at stakes level.
This colt is the second foal of the four-time-winning Elusive Quality
mare Pentimento, a half-sister to Shamardal’s four-time winner
Cameo, a winner of the Group 3 Keith F Nolan Classic and the
Listed Scone Cup.
From the family of Sunday Silence’s Group 3-winning, Group 1
placed Layman as well as the Group 1 producing sire Iffraaj, this
striking colt is out an Elusive Quality mare, who as a broodmare
sire has produced 139 stakes performers of which six at Group 1
winners include Guelph, Shooting To Win and No Nay Never.
The same Galileo x Elusive Quality pedigree cross has had 11 winners
from 20 runners led by the Group 2 performer Falcon Wings.
