Off the field it’s been another challenging year financially.
Despite our best efforts bar sales are continuing to fall. Our
INDIAN CUISINE/DONNER KEBAB/PIZZA/BURGER
only option is to
cut costs, and our volunteers on bar for a
couple of shifts a week has
helped
achieve
this. Also, thanks

Colin Gascoyne has stepped down as groundsman and I
would like to take this opportunity to thank him for the hard
work and dedication he has put into the ground over the
years, and wish him well for the future.

With the current financial position in mind, we have decided
not to employ a groundsman this year, but will maintain the
ground with a group of volunteers.

They say that things go around in cycles and, when I started
playing for Sleaford almost 40 years ago, most of the club
was run by volunteers. If this is done right, it does have the
advantage of involving members and making more people
feel part of the club.
Finally, thanks to all our team and club sponsors for support-
ing Sleaford Cricket Club; those who provide the excellent
teas for home games; the coaches and their assistants; the
committee members and everyone else who gives their time
to ensure the smooth running of the club. Many hands make
light work (always jobs available!).
