Why is Journalism the Best Elective Out there ?

As we all received our course selection sheet , it is time to consider which elective should we choose . How about considering journalism as an option ?
I have been personally taking this course for two years in a row and I absolutely love it . It is also a brilliant course to build up your other abilities and future career .
So , why is the course special and fun ? In journalism class , we often get to write different forms of article , and we are allowed to write about whatever we want as long as it is appropriate . This spices up the course a lot , as students can develop their own creativity . Students also learn to use Adobe InDesign to create their own article layouts and create covers for the school magazine .
The famous SLAS Times magazine as well as the annual yearbook are both made by the students taking the course , therefore the course can also help in your transcript when you apply for college . Mr . Nash Farid is also a fantastic teacher who helps his students whenever they struggle ; he is also very humorous .

Students should always choose courses which they feel will benefit them in both school and their future career . Journalism is a great option because it gives the opportunity to not only learn the discipline of journalistic writing , but also improves English language skills in general . You can also learn elements of design , independent investigation and even learn how to use different kinds of software . I think it ’ s definitely a good choice .
