2- A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R . R . Martin Recommended for : 8th grader Pre-AP and up

Game of Throne is one of the best epic medieval fantasy series ever written in history . The series has a theme revealing of magic and realism , politics and society , moral ambiguity , violence and death , sexuality and on and on and on .

There are three main principal storylines in the chronicling of dynastic civil war for control of Westeros among several competing families ; the rising threat of the Others , who dwell beyond the immense wall of ice that form the borders of the Westeros ; and the ambition of Daenerys Targaryen .
As a classic of the genre , it is to keep on inspiring generations of writer and readers to do more of the same or to take the genre to a new level .

3- Lord of the Ring series by J . R . R . Tolkien Recommended for : Pre-AP 6th and up

As another classic of the fantasy series , it has given the words of “ Bold , Ambition , Gorgeous and Full of Grandeur .” It has a strong cast , the action is stellar , and the plot is really well made and interesting . A plot on destroying the ring on an exploration to see the peace and chaos of the lands in Middle Earth was presented to the reader . This as a follow up on the Hobbits series shows the more dreadful and evil part of the adventure the Baggins are facing

For being one of the easier to understand books , it has shown it ’ s vast recommendation list to almost all of the ages after 6th grade . Its deeper understanding can be seen as the reader turns older .
