How to Get Vaccinated in Shanghai

Since the infection rate of Covid-19 increased rapidly worldwide , countries like China , Russia , and United States started to develop vaccines to reduce the impact of the pandemic . As vaccine developments succeeded in China in the last December of 2020 , people expect to get vaccinated as soon as possible . Many regulations and restrictions are part of the process .

Who can get vaccinated at the moment ? As of right now , the vaccine is not available for all citizens . The only people who are allowed to take the vaccine are medical staff , teachers , workers going abroad , and people who work in crowded public areas .
Precautions : To get vaccinated , citizens must be between 18 to 59 years old . If someone has a fever , any severe diseases , or is allergic to any vaccine substances , they cannot get jabbed . Pregnant women and lactating women cannot get the vaccination .
Restrictions before and after getting the vaccination : Before getting the vaccination , the citizens need to have enough rest ; they cannot drink alcohol , eat anything spicy , or eat seafood . They should have a light meal and be hydrated .
The Chinese government stated that the SinoVac and SinoPharm vaccines are available , and require two shots with an interval of at least 14 days . After getting the vaccination , recipients are required to stay at the clinic for 30 minutes for observation .
SinoPharm was approved in China in December 31 , 2020 .
SinoVac was approved in China in February 22 for emergency use .
