The student council is trying to plan out spirit week and movie nights before the end of the first semester . Moreover , their main goals are to organize prom ( since students didn ’ t have it for two years ) and start the Model United Nations ( MUN ) club .

In the student council , there are 31 people , including the 27 class representatives . Class representatives attend the student council meeting and share new updates to their homeroom classes . Also , they gather peer suggestions and share those ideas with the elected representatives .

Vice president Martina Barona ( 12th grade ) assists the president in coordinating the student council ’ s work and developing the agenda of the meetings .

Secretary Intisar Alkhatib ( 10th grade ) prepares the materials and agendas needed for meetings . In addition , she writes down the notes from the discussions and informs students about the future events they organize .

Since October 17 , the student council started selling baked goods every Tuesday to raise money . In addition , they already sold cheesecakes , four different flavors of cookies , and choco-chip muffins to students and teachers . Besides , they have established a MUN club to gain more experience and interactions with other students .

Aileen Kang ( 12th grade ) is the president of the student council . She was secretary last year . Her role is to communicate with the school administration and students ; she usually receives suggestions to improve the school ’ s shortcomings .

Kelly Li ( 12th grade ) was voted as treasurer for the past two years in a row . She coordinates the annual budget preparation , maintains financial records of the earnings , and prepares total financial reports .
