The Shanghai Ministry of Education recently provided new safety protocols to all schools in the city . Their goal is to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in all public and private centers of education . Because of the changes , students in SLAS seem to miss things that they could do before , such as eating lunch with friends , playing sports outside , and seeing people smile . temperatures before going into a classroom , and physical distancing in all school areas .
