A DAY OF LOVE AND AFFECTION

Every February, most young people will start getting
ready for Valentine’s Day. Many people would start
preparing for Valentine’s Day by memorizing or
preparing to ask someone on a date or to buy ice
cream, junk foods, snacks for themselves if they don’t
have any date. In this article, I will be giving out facts
and tips on what to do on Valentine’s Day when you’re
alone or with your date.
Valentine’s Day first started on February 14, 469 AD.
Valentine’s Day is also known as St.Valentine’s Day.
The celebration is to actually honor one of the saints
named Valentinus. By the 18th century, giving and
exchanging cards became common in England.
Researchers say that Americans spend more than 700
million dollars on Valentine’s gift for their pets! Many
loners (aka people who don't have a love life) actually
give their pet a Valentine’s Day gift which is really
crazy. A lot of people may think that Valentine’s Day

on Valentine’s Day such as chocolates, flowers or
cards. For girls who usually stay at home without
boyfriends, they would probably just buy ice cream
or just eat junk food. I would say that girls would
maybe just post about how they are spending their
Valentine’s Day alone. For a lot of couples, Valentine’s
Day is a really important day for them to spend time
with each other.
