• “ Astrophotography with content ”: I believe that Astrophotography should not be a goal by itself . We can establish ( and I am an addicted to this !) a virtuous circle : to research and study certain details of a planet – or a special formation of the Moon – and make all efforts to get images that represents as near as possible these features – and vice-versa ! This brings a real rewarding sense in this job and a lot of challenges that must be overcome every night . Presently my main gear for astrophotography is composed of a 12 ” Newtonian reflector scope f / 5 with a motorized GEM mount , a set of power ampliation eyepieces ( 2,5 x , 4 X and 5 X ), a good set of filters ( L , RGB , IRPass and other ) and some planetary dedicated cameras color and mono , allowing me to have the flexibility to adjust the imaging train according to the planned object and the seeing conditions of each night .
