Above , Figure 10 – Image taken on Oct . 28 , 2016 with the wide angle camera using red , green and blue spectral filters were combined to create this color view . This view looks toward the sunlit side of the rings from about 25 degrees above the ringplane . The view was acquired at a distance of approximately 870,000 miles ( 1.4 million kilometers ) from Saturn . Image scale is 50 miles ( 80 kilometers ) per pixel . Below , Figure 11 – From the right angle you can see straight through the rings , as in this natural-color view that looks from south to north . Cassini obtained the images that comprise this mosaic on April 25 , 2007 , at a distance of approximately 450,000 miles ( 725,000 kilometers ) from Saturn .
