What should a large woman consider
when buying clothes, beyond what
looks beautiful in a showcase?
A woman of great stature must first
recognize, understand and accept
what her size and strengths really
are, and leave aside prejudices. The
showcases are aimed at attracting
customers and show trends, they
don’t dictate to what size or what
body the garment is aimed at.
What would you change
or remove in marketing
with plus size fashion in
Latin America?
Size marketing tends
to be extremist. It only
works with the images
of women of enormous
dimensions and that is one
of the fundamental errors
in transmitting the message
of acceptance, it doesn’t
cover all sizes, and fashion
marketing mainly focuses
on women of small size.
It is time for society to
understand that size alone
is only a number, and that
all bodies are unique and
beautiful in nature.
For you as a designer, what
does a model have to be,
whatever size, to be ideal?
The positive attitude and
the disposition are two fundamental
characteristics that a model must
own, regardless of size. We can all be
models if we set our minds to it and
instruct ourselves.
Wearing a designer costume and
not knowing how to wear it is like
seeing it on the coat rack, it does not
transmit and it is not commercial.
The willingness to do your best
makes the photo or the walkway
successful and achieves the goal.
