EDITOR’S LETTER
H
appy new year to all our readers!
Can you believe we’re on issue six
of Skin Health Magazine already?!
The time has flown by and now we’re at
the start of another exciting new year.
If you’re anything like me you’ll have con-
sidered making some new year’s resolu-
tions, and may have even made a few too.
At the end of each year I take time to
reflect on what I’d like to change or achieve
in the year that follows. I stopped making
negative resolutions a long time ago. Quit-
ting this and stopping that never really
worked for me. So I started focusing on
positive goals and objectives I wanted to
achieve instead. This year I’m focusing on
just one goal, to be kinder. It’s not that I’m
not kind, it’s more that I think I could make
more of an effort to be kinder more often.
I try and instil this in my six-year-old daugh-
ter all the time, so why am I not doing this
myself?! It might sound simple, and honest-
ly it really should be, but we lead such busy
lives we often don’t take the time to be kind
to one another. So 2018 is my year of kind-
ness. What will it be for you?
If you’re planning on taking more time to
read Skin Health Magazine then you’re in
for a treat. We have an abundance of news
and advice packed into this issue on
everything from switching up your skincare
for the new year, how to select the right
skincare when you’re suffering with
eczema, and why you should definitely be
using skincare containing caffeine. We
welcome a new guest writer, Dija Ayodele,
from the Black Skin Directory, who delves
into the conditions that commonly affect
darker skin tones. And you have the
chance to win one of three Intraceuticals
Lip Masks. If you suffer from dry lips
during the winter this mask works wonders
to ease the dryness and discomfort, and
provides the added bonus of helping to
soften the appearance of fine lines around
the mouth!
Best of luck with your resolutions, and happy reading.
