nown as the ‘miracle worker’
amongst her many celebrity clients,
Malvina Fraser is one of the most
in-demand beauty and skin care specialists
in the country. After over 30 years in the
business, Malvina realised a childhood
dream by creating her very own line of
anti-aging skin care products a few years
ago, making it even easier for people to
recreate the results of one of her treatments
at home.
In the second part of our My Skin Journey
series, she reveals her top tips on how to
feel happy in your skin and why growing up
surrounded by nature is the secret to a
healthy complexion.
I’m really lucky as I’ve always had a good
relationship with my skin. Even as a young
girl, skin care and beauty fascinated me. I
grew up in Scotland, surrounded by the
natural health and beauty of the Highlands,
and I felt lucky to live in this environment
where I could use fresh milk and honey on
my skin.
Growing up in this environment meant I didn’t
have any major skin concerns, but it also taught
me that it’s not just what you put on the outside
that makes a difference; it’s what you put inside
your body too. Fresh food and fresh air was
key for me growing up.
Being surrounded by so much nature in-
spired me to go into the beauty industry
and create products to help others feel good
about their skin.
While none of us like to get older, I’m happy
with my skin as it is and I’ve embraced the
ageing process, as I like to feel confident
when I am consulting my own clients. I’ve
always been so interested in the texture of
skin and how it can change with age, so I
use my own Malvina Skincare products as
well as radio frequency therapies and lasers
to stimulate the younger cells with my older
clients, to help them feel good about their
skin too.
My tips for achieving good skin? Honey on
the skin is great as it’s antibacterial, and
natural yogurt and lemon is an old Scottish
trick to get glowing skin! Getting plenty of
sleep is also important. Personally, I use my
anti-aging Malvina Skincare products and
always exfoliate the skin, as nothing really
works unless you do that first!
When it comes to trying new products and
treatments, always have a consultation first
and remember to give things time. Results
won’t happen overnight. A good diet, quality
products and treatments all need at least six
months to start to work, so be patient. In
the meantime, be happy and smile a lot – I
find that helps!
