nowhere that has a rad crew.” His favorite
feature is the extensions, where he steps up
from low to high with ease. “Hammers go down
every session!” he adds.

“Micro” Mapp is a regular at Swayne’s. “We
are all backyard ramp guys and would much
rather skate there than some skate park with
a bunch of soccer moms and scooter kids.” he
says about the scene.
Jeff’s parties are legendary. Hell-oween
costume bashes, ugly sweater Christmas
parties, fundraisers for friends in need, and
just big groups of friends cutting loose and
skating until they can’t. People have slept in
the bowl and in hammocks strung beneath it.
“All of Jeff’s parties rule!” says Mapp. “Because
his mom always caters the parties with great
food! I mean great buffets! She is the best!”
He says she’s a great person who treats every
skater like a guest in the house.

building the bowl was an all-girls session orga-
