the 30th anniversary of Santa Cruz’s Screaming Hand, so we decided to make a tribute
video for the Phillips family. We found some
paint and paint brushes and we proceeded to
paint Christian’s hand, Blue. I wound up doing
the paint details. I am no artist but I was confident enough to paint his hand to the best of
my ability from a graphic. We all took turns
hitting some of the new holes in the ramp
and decided we should have the hand come
out of one of the new holes in the Ark, like
the hand lives under the ramp. Stoked Ollie
Sea stepped up to skate during our shoot and
so did Christian even though his hand was
painted blue. Video is on our instagram if you

It was one hell of a summer and I am sorry to
see it go. Can’t wait to go back next time and
hit another Vacation Plateau. Mike O.
