ERIK BIBELHEIMER - SMITH GRIND profit Skate MD, which provides equipment and teaches skateboarding to underprivileged youth and kids with special needs. It was pretty hot to skate during the day, so we took a quick river trip in Grass Valley, then fired up the BBQ, cracked a couple beers, and enjoyed the company of a few friends. The kids took over the bowl to have their own little sesh before the sun went down. The temperature finally cooled down, and the lights turned on for the night sesh. For the next couple days after being back to the weekly grind, I couldn’t wipe the grin from my face from how much fun we had over the three day weekend. It was quite refreshing to see the interaction between parents and their children, old friends and new friends sharing the one common bond that we all have that is called skateboarding.
