Obama - executive order

Let me start off by saying that I am happy for the president and his accomplishments. Though I am an African American, I do not feel the need to support him simply because he is black. That would be ignorant for stance. I do not understand how so many republicans can claim that Obama isn’t doing anything when they are the one rejecting everything he places on the table. The checks and balance are preventing him from being able to pass anything because it gives the other party the chance to deny his offers. This is where Obama’s executive powers come into play.

The presidential executive powers allow the president to take actions without needing congress to approve. I find it ridiculous that the president has even had to consider that action to accomplish his goals. I honestly cannot blame him for it. Think about the benefits that would be provided by the laws Obama has been trying to pass. I am still trying to understand how and why congress held 47 votes in the attempt to repeal the new health care act. Republicans have taken this to the extreme. It is already a law and in place. Stop trying to fight against it. I would recommend taking Bill Maher’s advise and stop your treason like attitude towards his law.

My fear is that Obama utilizing this power gives way for future presidents for the same. Let us understand whom we had for a president before Obama. We may not be so lucky the next election. We do not want someone like president Bush freely using these powers. I have come to understand how much this has been used. So far, Obama has used less executive order than president Bush. I have come to the conclusion that Obama has not over stepped his boundaries. This has simply become his only option to fulfill his goals. We all know how cooperative the Republican Party has been. For now, Obama has been doing a better job than most, but of course he is still a politician in my yes.
