Skate Agenda 11&12-2014 | Page 22

The works are ready to ride or hang on the wall? They are totally skateable (except the painted broken boards – one would have to get creative to be able to skate those!). As soon as I’m done painting a board I coat it with a couple layers of polish, so the graphic holds as much as possible. And then there’s a few graphics that I painted on already used boards, but I made sure they still have pop in them and everything. I know that some people prefer to have them on a wall, and I don’t have anything against that. But to be honest it makes me glad when people actually use them as skateboards. I feel like my work will tell a better story when scratched up. Do you also have skills of drawing on computer ...if any skateboards company would be in touch with you... Yes, actually I also do digital illustrations & graphic design – it is what I originally trained in at University. So far I haven’t created any designs specifically for skateboards. But that’s definitely something I will start working with in the near future. I have a couple of things lined up for this summer, and I’m always open to collaborations.
