Bright European Skateboard Awards BRIGHT European Skatebo brighttradeshow.com In this article I will write about The Bright European Skateboard Awards history. It’s not a long story because this year will be the 3rd edition. The Bright European Skateboard Awards is an event to celebrate the people who make skateboarding in Europe happen, and who’ve impressed the most in their respective “categories“ ( skating, filming, photography,business...) . This is was motivate skaters doing their jobs in this sport. , a way to thank and to notice who was more enterprising for crowd and for experts of the sport. Every year many people try to take this path and give the best of themselves in what they do best , maybe to ride a skateboard or manufacture decks or layout magazines. To these awards can be awarded so many strengths and no defects. I have to admit that the European skateboarding scene in recent years is giving us a lot of satisfaction. Now, if you remember the 1st edition Albert Nyberg was selected as the Rookie of the Year , now he’s one of the top riders in Europe ,maybe this award motivated him to impress more and more in 2013 (no words for his latest Etnies video... ) , last year the Rookie was Tom Knox ,this year he was in nominees forn the Kingpin rider of the year award. Tom and all the team of the Eleveth Hour movie won the award for the best movie of the year! Nice job by Jacob Harris! This year the Rookie award went to the NorwegianKarsten Kleppan! Polar Skate Co. was the brand of the year last year and this year won the award for the 2nd time in a row! Palace was the brand of the year in 2012...The British are great entrepreneurs in 2 years of awards they have won 2 times for the best skateshop of the year in 2012 Lost Art, Liverpool and in 2013 Slam City Skates, London. This year was the time for the Copenhagen based skateshop Street Machine! About the Photographer of the Year , in the 2012 Sam Rubio has left an indelible mark in skateboarding, but also the others were superb as always... are all professionals, and I think this is one of the most difficult awards to be given. Sam Ashley won this award this year. The Kingpin Readers Choice was for Finnish skater Eniz Fazliov , this was his 2nd Readers Choice award , he won it also last year. The 2014 European Skater of the year , the most coveted award went to Youness Amrani! All deserved.
