A terrifying story in my childhood

When I was a little girl, I liked insects especially ladybirds but one day everything changed…

I was 3 or 4 years old and I went to a small village, next to it there were some fields, I was with my mother and my aunt, it was summer. I was very happy because I liked walking and running in that marvellous landscape. As always I was looking for insect and their hiding places when suddenly I saw a row of ants, I followed them and I arrived at their anthill. I took a stick and I put the stick into the hole of the anthill. The ants went out very fast and went inside my trousers and my T-shirt! The ants were all around my body. I was really scared and I ran to my mother. My body was black because of the ants. My mother and my aunt told me to take off my T-shirt and they helped me to kill the ants.

From that moment on I hate insects, especially ants and I have never worn those clothes again! When I see an ant I step on it and I kill it!! One day I saw Alex, one of my classmates, eating an ant and it was so disgusting that I felt terribly sick!!!

ALONE IN THE SUBWAY

My name is Marta and I’m 13 years old. When I was seven, I had a very exciting afternoon. It all started on a Saturday, about six o'clock in the afternoon. I wanted to go to my aunt's house because we had prepared her a surprise party. My mum and I got on the subway.

My mother and I were very stressed because the subway was crowded and we were late. When the train came, my mother got on and she didn’t realize that she wasn’t holding me. She left me behind and the train left. I watched her from the platform. I was really scared and I didn’t know what to do. Luckily, I saw a man with a mobile phone and I asked him if I could phone my mum. The man told me he couldn’t because he was in a hurry too. Then, I asked the same to a woman. She was very kind to me and she let me call my mum. She told me to wait for her where I was, she would be back as soon as possible to pick me up. So I sat on a bench and waited. After a while, I saw my mum running to me. She held me tight and we started to cry together. When my mum held me I felt sound and save.
