This workshop will focus on winter sunlight
and shadow in the winter landscape. We will
look at how to capture the impression of crisp
winter sunlight and the shadows it produces.
We will also look at how to capture the
effect of frost onto trees and branches and
early morning sunlight onto frosty cobwebs,
gateways etc. The tutor will bring images to
work from.

This is an introduction to making fused glass
jewellery. During the day you will learn how
to make your own unique pieces of jewellery
such as a pair of earrings, cufflinks or a
jewellery set that you can keep or give as
an individual gift. We will look at the basics
of fused glass and guide you through the
important points such as how best to cut glass
and turn fused pieces into finished jewellery.

understanding layers.

and we will look at different aspects such
as reflections on still water, moving water
in streams and rivers and around rocks and
waterfalls. We will experiment with a number
of different painting methods to help us
create these effects. By the end of the
session you will have a sheet on experimental
techniques and a completed painting. The

Websites for Creative People
This one day course will get you started
on the road to creating your own website
using a site builder. The course will start by
explaining some of the basic concepts like
domains, hosts and pages and how they
work. Over the course of the day, you’ll begin
to build yourself a website using a highly
recommended site builder – which you’ll be
able to continue to develop at home after the
course. This course is suitable for beginners
who use a home computer and who have an
idea of the type of site they wish to build.

Crochet for Beginners

This day course will offer an introduction,
or refresher to those returning to crochet,
to the basic stitches of chain, double crochet,

terminology used in written patterns and
charts to create a phone cover and a rosette.
